One of the most popular and effective deities of Imperial China and revered today across  many eastern religions including Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism, Guan Yu is worshipped as a god of health, family, harmony, justice, prosperity, luck and fertility.

 coin has been antique to give it a unique finish conveying the surface abrasion of an ancient artefact. 

coin Designing-

The coin’s antiqued reverse depicts representations of Guan Yu among stylised clouds and an oriental dragon grasping a pearl, a symbol of wisdom and enlightenment.  Green Dragon Crescent Blade is colour purple and golden. The inscription ‘关羽’, which is the Chinese name for Guan Yu, also appears in the design.

About Guan yu-

According to the famous historical novel, this heavy iron blade was forged by a renowned blacksmith under the light of the full moon. When the 18-kilo weapon was close to completion, 1,780 drops of blood fell from the sky. This was believed to be blood from a green dragon, a divine being representing the power of the East as a symbol of health, prosperity and harmony.
